This Privacy Policy applies to website visitors and business users. Use of the Tarzan software platform ("Services") is governed separately by our Master Services Agreement and Business Associate Agreement ("BAA").

If you become a customer, we collect:

C. Protected Health Information (PHI)
Tarzan provides software infrastructure for healthcare providers and may process Protected Health Information ("PHI") on behalf of its customers.
PHI processed through the Services may include:
- Patient names
- Date of birth
- Contact information
- Insurance information
- Appointment data
- Call recordings
- Communication transcripts
- Insurance verification responses
Tarzan processes PHI solely as a Business Associate under executed BAAs with Covered Entities.
Tarzan does not collect PHI directly from patients through its public website.

4. HIPAA Compliance & PHI Handling
Tarzan:
- Operates under Business Associate Agreements with healthcare providers
- Implements administrative, physical, and technical safeguards
- Uses U.S.-based infrastructure environments
- Requires subcontractors handling PHI to enter into written agreements with equivalent protections
Tarzan does not maintain PHI as a Designated Record Set unless explicitly agreed in writing.
Healthcare providers remain responsible for:
- Clinical decisions
- Patient matching
- Coding accuracy
- Billing practices
- HIPAA compliance within their organization
5. Subprocessors & Infrastructure
Tarzan utilizes U.S.-based, industry-leading cloud infrastructure and service providers to support the Services.
Any subcontractor that creates, receives, maintains, or transmits PHI on our behalf is contractually required to maintain safeguards consistent with HIPAA.
PHI is not stored or processed outside of the United States unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Data Security
Tarzan implements reasonable and appropriate safeguards designed to protect information, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS)
- Encryption at rest
- Role-based access controls
- System monitoring and logging
- Incident response procedures
No system can guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
Website visitor information is retained as necessary for business and legal purposes.
PHI retention is governed by contractual agreements with customers and applicable law.
Upon termination of Services, PHI is returned or destroyed in accordance with the Business Associate Agreement.
